In the urban expanse of Mumbai, the imminent Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra spearheaded by Congress luminary Rahul Gandhi is poised to transcend from Gujarat to Maharashtra’s Nandurbar district on March 10, as affirmed by local party functionaries on Friday. The trajectory of this yatra is set to traverse through Nandurbar, subsequently advancing to Dhule, Malegaon, and Nashik. Gandhi, during this odyssey, is slated to pay homage at the venerable Kalaram temple, an abode to Lord Ram, and the Trimbakeshwar temple, venerating Lord Shiva.
The erstwhile head of the Congress party will thereafter eloquate at a gathering in Bhiwandi within the precincts of Thane district. Following this, the yatra shall progress towards Mumbai for its culminating public congregation, tentatively scheduled for March 13 or 14, as articulated by the party functionaries.
Antecedently declared, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra observed a hiatus from February 26 to March 1, a period earmarked for Rahul Gandhi to impart two specialized discourses at his alma mater, Cambridge University, and partake in consequential deliberations in New Delhi. The yatra’s resurgence is anticipated on March 2, initiating from Dholpur in Rajasthan and permeating into Madhya Pradesh on the same day.
The cross-country odyssey, spanning from the east in Manipur to the western terminus in Mumbai, is charted to navigate a formidable expanse of 6,700 kilometers, coursing through the heart of 15 states. Its overarching objective remains to underscore the ethos of “nyay” or justice, whilst engaging with the citizenry along its trajectory.
