Enveloped within the buzz encircling Jr. NTR’s upcoming collaboration with Prashanth Neel, the acclaimed director of Salaar and KGF, tentatively titled NTR31, the project is yet to kick off filming. However, the excitement surrounding it remains palpable. Recent whispers hint at the potential involvement of a Bollywood icon, poised to engage in an epic showdown on the big screen.

The much-awaited partnership between Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel was originally set to begin earlier but faced delays due to prior commitments. Speculations in the grapevine suggest ongoing discussions with Bollywood veteran Bobby Deol for the role of the antagonist. Bobby Deol’s commendable performance in Animal has thrust him into the forefront of conversations regarding negative characters.

Having already made a mark in South Indian cinema with notable ventures like Kanguva, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and NBK109, securing a part in Neel and NTR’s project would signify another significant milestone for Bobby Deol in the Southern film industry. Following the success of casting Sanjay Dutt as the formidable Adheera in K.G.F: Chapter 2, Prashanth Neel seems eager to enlist Bobby Deol as yet another menacing antagonist in his upcoming directorial venture.

Regarding the film’s title, “Dragon” emerges as a top contender for NTR31. Karan Johar, the custodian of the title rights, generously surrendered them to Jr. NTR and Neel due to their close bond. Supported by Mythri Movie Makers, a prominent Telugu production house, NTR 31 is set to commence filming in August.

Meanwhile, Jr. NTR finds himself juggling commitments between “War 2” and “Devara.” “Devara,” helmed by Koratala Siva, is slated for release on September 27. On the other hand, “War 2,” a gripping espionage thriller featuring Hrithik Roshan, is scheduled for a debut over the Independence Day weekend in 2025.
