In a recent turn of events, Asaduddin Owaisi, the Chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), took a jab at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday (November 27th). Owaisi raised eyebrows over Gandhi’s recent statements, emphasizing the need for reflection before speaking.
Owaisi’s Rebuke:
Underlining his perspective, Hyderabad’s MP, Asaduddin Owaisi, urged, “Rahul Gandhi should consider before speaking. Your age exceeds 50 years. Solitude might be vexing you. We don’t provoke, but if provoked, we don’t step back. Your words betray a lack within yourself; search for it.”
Owaisi’s Accusation:
Not mincing words, Owaisi directed accusations at the Congress, alleging that individuals in their party become subservient. He claimed allegiance with AIMIM, foretelling an unbreakable alliance, rendering BJP and Congress powerless.
Rahul Gandhi’s Retort:
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, during a recent rally, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has two close allies, Owaisi and Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR). He echoed, “BJP, BRS, and AIMIM are one. PM Modi’s two friends are Owaisi and KCR. KCR desires Modi’s return as PM, while PM Modi wishes for KCR’s re-election as CM.”
While Gandhi often categorizes AIMIM as BJP’s ‘B team,’ his recent inclusion of BRS into the mix during the Telangana Assembly elections implies a shifting landscape. He recently asserted BJP assists AIMIM in fielding candidates, further exacerbating Congress’s losses. Notably, voting for the Telangana Assembly elections is scheduled for November 30th.
