This ceremonious commencement will culminate its activities by July 3.

The distinguished presence of President Droupadi Murmu shall grace the hallowed halls of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, jointly, on the auspicious date of June 27. It is widely anticipated that Her Excellency shall delineate the strategic roadmap envisaged by the new administration for the forthcoming quinquennium.

“The inaugural convocation of the 18th Lok Sabha stands summoned from the 24th of June, ’24, until the 3rd of July, ’24, for the solemn administration of oaths/affirmations to the newly inducted members, the election of the Speaker, the Presidential address, and the ensuing deliberations,” articulated Rijiju, elucidating the official proclamation through a post on X.

Further substantiating the governmental discourse, the 264th Session of the Rajya Sabha is scheduled to convene its proceedings from June 27, concluding on July 3. Prime Minister Modi is anticipated to introduce the august assembly to his cohort of ministers following the Presidential address on the aforementioned date.

The forthcoming deliberations on the Motion of Thanks concerning the Presidential address are expected to witness a spirited exchange, with the opposition wielding an aggressive stance in its endeavor to hold the NDA government accountable on a multifarious array of issues.
