In Jamui, Bihar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is receiving invitations for events abroad slated for the coming year, indicating the global anticipation of his assured return to leadership.
At a political rally in Jamui, Singh, a former BJP chief, remarked that while election seasons often evoke apprehension, India faces an exception. The international community is confident that PM Modi will secure a third term consecutively.
Singh pointed out that PM Modi is already being asked to attend events internationally set for next year. Under Modi’s governance, India has established itself as a formidable force, capable of countering transboundary terrorism, exemplified during the surgical strikes.
“Another testament to India’s growing prominence was the release of retired naval personnel facing capital punishment in Qatar after a conversation between Modi and the Emir of the country,” Singh noted.
Speaking shortly after the release of BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ in Delhi, Singh, who chaired the manifesto committee, stated, “Unlike other parties, we deliver on our commitments, such as the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya or the revocation of Article 370.”
Touching upon the law against triple talaq, Singh added, “We eliminated the barbaric practice that caused significant hardship to our Muslim mothers and sisters, undeterred by critiques from Congress and RJD, who were more concerned with electoral gains.”
Acknowledging RJD president Lalu Prasad as an “old friend,” Singh voiced his displeasure over a recent contentious comment from Prasad’s daughter, Misa Bharti.
“Family members of Lalu ji claim that Narendra Modi will face imprisonment if the BJP loses power. This is wishful thinking as the BJP will secure a decisive victory in the elections,” stated Singh, refraining from directly naming Bharti.
Bharti later clarified her statements were in relation to a Supreme Court ruling on electoral bonds and were misconstrued. Without naming Tejashwi Yadav directly, Singh mentioned a public display of consuming fish during Navratri, perhaps aiming to appeal to other faiths.
“You may consume any kind of meat, whether fish, pig, or elephant, but what is the point of displaying this act during a period of religious fasting?” exclaimed Singh.
