In anticipation of the Telangana Formation Day on June 2nd, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is set to grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event is scheduled to commence at 10 am at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad, with meticulous arrangements underway.
Invitations have been extended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to former CM KCR, urging his presence at the festivities. The responsibility of extending these invitations has been entrusted to Harkara Venugopal, Adviser of the Protocol Department, and Director Arvind Singh.
A solemn tribute is to be paid by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on June 2nd at 9:30 am at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Gunpark, honoring the sacrifices made for the Telangana State.
Following this, the Chief Minister will unfurl the national flag at 10 am at the Parade Ground, accompanied by a grand parade of police forces, a majestic march past, and a reverent salute. Additionally, the official anthem of the state will be unveiled, marking a significant moment of the celebration.
Subsequently, both Sonia Gandhi and the Chief Minister will address the assembled gathering, imparting their insights and reflections. The festivities will culminate with the commendation of police personnel and outstanding employees through the presentation of awards.
Transitioning to the evening, the closure of the decade-long State Formation Day celebrations will commence at 6:30 pm on the iconic Tank Bund. A vibrant array of handicrafts, specialty products, and diverse food stalls will adorn the area, promising a sensory delight for all attendees.
The Chief Minister will grace the stalls with his presence at 6:30 pm, followed by the commencement of a spirited carnival showcasing the rich art forms of Telangana. A multitude of 700 artists will participate, infusing the atmosphere with creativity and cultural vibrancy.
A captivating cultural program lasting 70 minutes will ensue, captivating the audience with its diversity and talent. The Tank Bund will witness a majestic flag walk, with thousands of participants proudly waving national flags in unison, accompanied by the resonant rendition of ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ for 13.30 minutes.
In recognition of their contributions, lyricist Andeshree and music director Keeravani will be felicitated during this grand spectacle. Finally, at 8:50 pm, the celebrations will draw to a close amidst a dazzling ten-minute fireworks display, leaving indelible memories of unity and festivity.
