In the corridors of New Delhi, the Congress castigated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his utilization of a “venomous dialect,” asserting that his repertoire of stratagems to deflect attention from substantive matters is burgeoning. Yet, the demise of this “enterprise of falsehoods” looms ever closer.
In a retaliatory move against Prime Minister Modi’s recent diatribe on “redistributing wealth,” the Congress lambasted the PM for resorting to “untruths” and “incendiary rhetoric” in a bid to steer focus away from pressing issues following what they deemed as “disillusionment” in the initial phase of the Lok Sabha polls.
Presenting the Congress’ freshest advertisement spotlighting the surge in prices and the scourge of unemployment, former Congress stalwart Rahul Gandhi remarked, “Unemployment and inflation are scaling unprecedented heights in the nation, while Narendra Modi insists that ‘all is well’.”
“He (Modi) has an array of new methods to ‘divert from the discourse’,” Gandhi averred in a Hindi post on X, suggesting that the era of falsehoods is drawing to a close. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh echoed Gandhi’s sentiments, intensifying his onslaught against the premier.
“The Prime Minister adopts a malevolent lexicon on a myriad of topics. He ought to elucidate a straightforward query – Since 1951, the census has been conducted every decade, divulging the veritable data concerning the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe populace. This procedure should have been enacted in 2021, yet remains unaddressed to date. Why does the Prime Minister maintain silence on this matter?” Ramesh demanded.
Ramesh alleged a conspiracy to subvert the tenets of Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution. The Congress escalated its offensive against the prime minister following his insinuation that, should the Congress ascend to power, it would redistribute the populace’s wealth among Muslims, citing former PM Manmohan Singh’s assertion regarding the minority community’s preeminence in accessing the nation’s resources.
Addressing a congregation in Banswara, Rajasthan, Modi accused the Congress of intending to allocate the hard-earned assets and treasures of the populace to “infiltrators” and “prolific progenitors.”
