Chandigarh: On Saturday, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) revealed its primary roster of seven contenders, entrusting distinguished party stalwarts Prem Singh Chandumajra for the Anandpur Sahib constituency and Daljit Singh Cheema for Gurdaspur.
In addition, the SAD disclosed former MLA N K Sharma as its choice from Patiala, ex-minister Anil Joshi for Amritsar, Bikramjit Singh Khalsa for Fatehgarh Sahib, Rajwinder Singh representing Faridkot, and Iqbal Singh Jhoonda vying for the Sangrur seat.
The declaration of these candidates was made public by party leader Daljit Singh Cheema through a post on X.
The voting for all 13 Lok Sabha constituencies is scheduled to take place in the final phase on June 1.
