In the early dawn of Thursday, two seismic events reverberated through Arunachal Pradesh, as per the National Center for Seismology.

The initial tremor, measuring at a magnitude of 3.7, manifested at 01:49 am. Its epicenter lay at a latitude of 27.38 and a longitude of 92.77, plunging to a depth of 10 kilometers. This seismic episode originated in the confines of West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh.

“Manifestation of seismic energy: 3.7 on the Richter scale, documented at 21-03-2024, 01:49:54 IST, Latitude: 27.38 & Longitude: 92.77, Penetration: 10 Km, Origin: West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh, India,” conveyed the National Center for Seismology through a publication on X.

Scarcely two hours elapsed before the advent of another tremor, occurring precisely at 03:40 am. This secondary quake, measuring 3.4 in magnitude, emanated from East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. Its epicenter was positioned at a latitude of 27.46 and a longitude of 92.82, reaching a depth of 5 kilometers.

“Release of seismic force: 3.4 magnitude, marked at 21-03-2024, 03:40:12 IST, Latitude: 27.46 & Longitude: 92.82, Penetration: 5 Km, Origin: East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh, India,” detailed the National Center for Seismology in a communiqué on X. No immediate reports have surfaced regarding any adverse impact or casualties.
