In Nagaur, Rajasthan, a tragic incident unfolded on Sunday as a vehicle capsized, plummeting onto a family gathered by the roadside, resulting in the unfortunate demise of at least four individuals, as reported by local authorities.
The calamity transpired when an automobile overturned, colliding with a family patiently awaiting a bus. Regrettably, an eight-months pregnant woman, along with her two-year-old son and spouse, met their untimely end at the scene. Another woman also succumbed to the mishap. The lifeless bodies of the four victims have been entrusted to the care of Degana Hospital’s mortuary, according to statements by Degana Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) Rameshwar Lal Saharan.
Providing further details, Saharan elucidated that Chhotu Ram, accompanied by his wife Suman, their son, and Chhotu Ram’s sister Rakhudi, was en route to Degana on a motorcycle. Chhotu Ram brought the bike to a halt near Dhani on the roadside, allowing the other three family members to embark on a Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation Bus. Tragically, during this interval, a car driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the overturning and subsequent collision with the four individuals, as stated by the Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The car’s driver, ejected from the scene, prompted the initiation of a legal case under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), with endeavors underway to apprehend the absconding driver, as articulated by the senior police official.
The demise of the four individuals cast a somber shadow over Chudiayas village, their place of residence, evoking a poignant atmosphere in the aftermath of the unfortunate incident.
