In Rewari, Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the cornerstone of a cutting-edge All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday. Concurrently, he consecrated and initiated the groundwork for diverse developmental endeavors encompassing urban transit, healthcare, rail networks, and tourism, accumulating a valuation exceeding Rs 9,770 crore.

Projected to materialize at an estimated expense of about Rs 1,650 crore, the AIIMS-Rewari will transpire across 203 acres in the hamlet of Majra Bhalkhi. This healthcare institution will feature an expansive hospital complex housing 720 beds, a medical college accommodating 100 scholars, a nursing college with a capacity for 60 students, an AYUSH block comprising 30 beds, residential quarters for the faculty and staff, hostel provisions for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, a nocturnal sanctuary, and a guesthouse, among other facilities.

In his oration to the assembly, the Prime Minister articulated, “…The collective desire of the nation once yearned for the erection of a majestic Ram temple in Ayodhya; today, the entire nation witnesses Ramlala enthroned in the majestic Ram temple. Even those affiliated with the Congress, who formerly perceived Lord Ram as a figment of imagination and resisted the temple’s construction, now echo the chant of Jai Siya Ram…”

Conceived under the aegis of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), the AIIMS-Rewari is poised to dispense all-encompassing, high-quality, and comprehensive tertiary-care health amenities to the denizens of Haryana. Parallelly, Modi initiated the foundation stone-laying for the Gurugram Metro Rail project, a venture anticipated to incur an expenditure of approximately Rs 5,450 crore.

This undertaking, spanning a total expanse of 28.5 km, is set to connect the Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5, amalgamating seamlessly into the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at the Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City. It constitutes a pivotal stride in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of endowing citizens with a world-class, eco-friendly, mass rapid urban transit system. Additionally, Modi unveiled the newly constructed Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar in Kurukshetra, a experiential museum erected at an outlay of approximately 240 crore.

Encompassing 17 acres and boasting over 100,000 square feet of interior space, the museum is designed to vividly animate the epic tale of the Mahabharata and the philosophical teachings of the Gita. The museum incorporates advanced technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), 3D laser, and projection mapping to heighten the visitor’s experiential journey. Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, remains a sacred locale where Lord Krishna disseminated the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna.
