New Delhi: Sanjay Singh, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP, on Friday reiterated his party’s claims of a significant plot against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, suggesting potential harm could befall him in detention.
During a press briefing, Singh accused the BJP of possessing the capability to commit violent acts. There was no immediate commentary from the BJP regarding Singh’s assertions.
Singh criticized BJP figures for ridiculing Kejriwal’s health issues and alleged the propagation of false information about the Delhi chief executive through the media.
“If prison regulations preclude sharing health data about inmates, then why did the ED propagate a false diet plan for Kejriwal in the media on Thursday?” Singh inquired.
No official response was provided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding Singh’s allegations. However, Singh maintained that Kejriwal would neither capitulate nor waver.
Delhi Cabinet minister Atishi, on Thursday, accused the authorities of an assassination plot against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, detained by the ED in the excise policy case, by denying him home-cooked food and insulin in prison, a claim dismissed by the jail administration.
Her accusations emerged shortly after the ED informed a court that Kejriwal was consuming high-sugar items like mangoes, bananas, and desserts regularly, despite having type 2 diabetes, possibly to establish grounds for medical bail or hospital transfer.
