Amidst the aftermath of bomb threat correspondences besieging over 150 educational institutions in the Delhi-NCR region, the Delhi Police disclosed the dissemination of spurious audio recordings across social media platforms. The law enforcement authorities emphatically refuted the veracity of said messages and implored guardians to dismiss such falsehoods. A cautionary advisory was issued, specifically highlighting the proliferation of audio clips within certain online forums purporting the discovery of dubious articles within school premises.
“The propagation of certain audio recordings through various digital channels, including WhatsApp and similar platforms, asserting the unearthing of suspect items within educational institutions, is unequivocally false,” iterated the Delhi Police. Posanjeet Ghosh, a parent whose offspring attends a private institution in East Delhi, recounted, “Today, the ambiance within the school precincts appeared tranquil. Consequently, we entrusted our child to partake in academic pursuits without trepidation.”
Commenting on the matter, Suman Nalwa, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) representing the Delhi Police, apprised ETV Bharat, “The law enforcement agency has been inundated with spurious missives disseminated across social media forums frequented by parents. We have endeavored to dispel the fallacious information disseminated.”
In the wake of the bomb threat commotion that ensued on Wednesday, which precipitated anxiety among parents, educators, and pupils alike, the prevailing scenario exhibited a semblance of normalcy on Thursday morning, with students attending school without undue apprehension, affirmed the PRO.
Another concerned parent, Sharad Arya, whose offspring are enrolled in a private educational institution, remarked, “Today, upon accompanying my children to school, the environment appeared mundane. Subsequent to thorough investigations conducted on school premises, it was ascertained that the purported threatening correspondences were unsubstantiated.”
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, echoing sentiments on social media, pledged retribution against perpetrators disseminating fabricated bomb threats. A comprehensive report has been requisitioned from the Delhi Police in light of recent developments.
“I beseech parents to remain composed and extend cooperation to the administrative authorities in safeguarding educational institutions and the welfare of our progeny. Those responsible for disseminating misinformation will face consequences,” Saxena articulated on the social media platform X.
