A grievous tragedy unfolded in Hyderabad on Wednesday, as per police reports, when a pack of stray canines savaged a six-year-old boy to death. His family discovered his grievously injured body in a refuse disposal site, where he had ventured to amuse himself.

This harrowing event transpired in the Miyapur vicinity, where the feral dogs assaulted Satvik, a first-grade pupil, during his playtime. Miyapur Circle Inspector, Durgaramalingaprasad, elucidated that Satvik’s mother, Shirisha, had succumbed to an ailment four years prior. Residing in Makta Mahbubpet hamlet, Satvik would accompany his grandmother to Dharmapuri Kshetra during school recesses, where she solicited alms, as per Durgaramalingaprasad’s account.

On the preceding Tuesday, deviating from his usual routine of joining his grandmother, Satvik expressed a desire to frolic outdoors and proceeded to the dumping ground. When he did not return home by nightfall, his family commenced a frantic search in the adjacent locales.

At dawn on Wednesday, his father, Veeresh, ventured to the refuse disposal area in pursuit of him. There, he discovered Satvik prostrate on the ground, bearing grievous injuries and lifeless.

Upon receiving this information, a contingent from the Miyapur police precinct arrived at the location and initiated an inquiry. The preliminary investigation indicated that the child had perished from injuries inflicted in a suspected canine assault. Ongoing inquiries are being conducted, as noted by Durgaramalingaprasad.
