Amidst the clamor of political discourse, RJD luminary Tejashwi Yadav took a sharp aim at the BJP on the 10th of April in Patna, Bihar. His aim: a viral video showcasing his indulgence in piscine delights, a moment ripe with controversy. His words resonated, “I unleashed that video to gauge their cognitive prowess, deliberately seeding the date of its inception within the public domain.”

On the preceding day, amidst the dawn of the Chaitra Navratri festivities, Yadav unveiled a visual narrative via a digital platform. Here, he stood, in communion with Mukesh Sahni, the esteemed chairman of VIP, breaking bread and savoring the piscine delicacy. Within the reel, Tejashwi’s voice reverberated, expressing gratitude towards Sahni for the culinary offering.

“Today, Mukesh Ji has presented us with a feast of piscine wonder, singular in its splendor, accompanied by bread, salt, onions, and the fiery embrace of green chili. A brief respite, lasting no more than a mere quarter-hour, amidst the hustle and bustle of our electoral endeavors,” articulated the erstwhile deputy Chief Minister, encapsulating the essence of their repast.

The spotlight then shifted towards Sahni, who elucidated on the piscine offering bestowed by none other than Lalu Prasad Yadav, the patriarch of RJD. “This aquatic gem hails from the heartland of Mithilanchal, particularly abundant in the Kosi expanse, known colloquially as Chechra,” Sahni elucidated.

In the political theater of Bihar, the RJD spearheads the Mahagathbandhan coalition, of which Sahni, an erstwhile Bihar legislator, recently pledged allegiance. Yet, amidst the politicking, Union Minister Giriraj Singh denounced this culinary interlude as a slight upon the hallowed traditions of Sanatan, accusing the former Bihar deputy CM of pandering to appeasement politics. “Tejashwi Yadav is a disciple of electoral opportunism, veiling his maneuvers under the guise of traditionalism. He thrives on the currency of appeasement, bartering votes for favor,” Singh lamented.

Sahni, hailing from the echelons of Bihar’s political hierarchy, recently integrated his Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) into the Mahagathbandhan consortium led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

In retort, Bihar’s deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha opined, “Certain individuals parade themselves as guardians of tradition, yet fail to embrace its tenets,” as the viral footage began to permeate public consciousness. While harboring no qualms against dietary customs, Sinha contends that the dissemination of piscine indulgence amidst Navratri symbolizes a politics of concession. To champion one’s nation, faith, ethics, and community is commendable, yet disparaging them veers far from the path of propriety. It’s hardly an emblem of secularism to denigrate one’s own faith. “The politics of contentment will prevail, forsaking the politics of appeasement,” intoned Prime Minister Modi with resolute conviction.
