Amidst the vibrant ambiance of the 24th Travel & Tourism Fair held in Nandambakkam, Chennai, the Ramoji Film City (RFC) from Hyderabad drew crowds of eager visitors. Commencing on the 15th of March and concluding on the 17th, this event blossomed into South India’s premier regional travel and trade exposition, perfectly timed ahead of the forthcoming summer holiday season.
Spanning across the fairgrounds were 160 stalls, showcasing the offerings of tourism companies hailing from 3 countries and 16 Indian states, including notable representations from Nepal and Thailand. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, took center stage, highlighting its ongoing initiatives while each tour operator artfully presented their enticing travel packages.
Within the RFC arena, industry insiders and the general public alike were captivated, eagerly seeking insights and information. Hari Krishnan of RFC shared glimpses of forthcoming attractions tailored for the summer season, promising an array of enticing announcements. “The footfall at our Chennai exhibition is steadily increasing,” remarked Krishnan. “We’re gearing up with exciting announcements and even offering film courses to pique the interest of visitors.”
Further enhancing accessibility, RFC revealed plans to appoint agents at the zonal level, facilitating direct travel from Tamil Nadu to the renowned film city.
Throughout the sprawling pavilions, State Tourism Boards from Bihar to Telangana, accompanied by a vibrant representation of private hoteliers and tour operators, painted a vivid tapestry of India’s diverse travel landscape.
