In the investigation of the Rameswaram Cafe bomb blast case in Tumakur and Ballari, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Karnataka Police have initiated a comprehensive inquiry following intel on the movements of the alleged perpetrator in these locales. Furthermore, the NIA has declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh for individuals providing details about the suspected bomber.
It has come to light that the accused traversed Tumakur and departed for other destinations from Ballari. A team comprising Bengaluru Police and district law enforcement meticulously examined the surveillance cameras at key locations in Tumakur on the previous Wednesday. They visited the CCTV control center of Tumakur Corporation and gathered data. Footage from CCTV cameras positioned on roads and vital locations, including bus terminals in Tumakur, has been amassed, and a night-long inquiry ensued.
NIA personnel journeyed from Bengaluru to Ballari in two vehicles, undertaking a thorough exploration around Ballari’s new bus terminal throughout the night. It is presumed that the accused directly arrived at the Ballari bus station via Tumakur and subsequently proceeded to Bhatkal (Uttar Kannada) from Mantralaya (Raichur) utilizing a Gokarna-bound bus from the Ballari bus station. Both the Ballari and Tumakur Police departments have collaborated with the NIA team.
