Narayan Rane, a Union minister, will represent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency in Maharashtra. This coastal district, under the current stewardship of Vinayak Raut, a candidate from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), has not seen prior competition from the BJP.
Notably, Nilesh Rane, Narayan Rane’s son, previously secured this parliamentary seat in 2009 as a nominee of the Indian National Congress.
