In the sacred precincts of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, accompanied by Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, joined other dignitaries from the UP Assembly and Legislative Council in offering devotions at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple this Sunday. The distinguished members of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and Legislative Council traversed the holy city aboard buses.

A shower of petals adorned the path of the MLAs as they approached the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, situated on the cusp of Barabanki and Ayodhya. A line of bulldozers stood poised, ready to extend a symbolic welcome to the convoy of UP MLAs.

Following the devotional rites, Deputy CM KP Maurya conveyed to ANI, “Today, all legislators seized the moment to solicit blessings from Lord Ram in Ayodhya. May his benedictions flow abundantly, guiding our nation to prosper by the year 2047.”

State Minister Nand Gopal Nandi leveled allegations against leaders of the Congress and Samajwadi Party, accusing them of indulging in appeasement politics. He asserted, “In the opposition, be it Congress or Samajwadi Party, there are elements engaging in appeasement politics… Their forebears assumed control of the Samajwadi Party and stood in opposition to Sanatan Dharma.” UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana expressed his sense of privilege at having the opportunity to witness Lord Ram firsthand.

Post the devotional proceedings at Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Mahana expressed, “I am profoundly moved because upon my initial visit to this locale, a structure stood, which was later dismantled before our eyes on December 6. I arrived here during the tumultuous period of a gunshot in 1990. I witnessed this place during the construction of the platform. And today, I consider myself fortunate to have the honor of a direct sighting of the divine.”

The consecration ceremony, known as ‘Pran Pratishtha,’ for Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya’s historic temple transpired on January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officiating the rituals, orchestrated by a cadre of priests. Acharya Satyendra Das holds the esteemed position of Chief Priest at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
