In the environs of New Delhi, a staggering incident unfolded as approximately 10 to 12 individuals sustained injuries in the wake of an assault perpetrated by a leopard that ventured into a settlement situated in the Burari locality of northern Delhi on Monday, as delineated by law enforcement authorities.

The occurrence has instigated widespread consternation amidst the inhabitants of the village. All those wounded were expeditiously conveyed to the adjacent medical facility for requisite medical attention. Per the accounts furnished by law enforcement, a leopard clandestinely infiltrated the precincts of Jagatpur village, ensconced within the bosom of a sylvan expanse, at approximately 6 am, and proceeded to assail numerous denizens therein. Subsequently, the feline interloper sought refuge within a domicile, wherein three individuals lay in repose. Sensing the furtive movements of the leopard, the household roused from slumber and effectuated their egress, sequestering the beast within one of the chambers afore absconding. Meanwhile, the villagers promptly apprised the forestry department of the unfolding crisis.

Residents lamented the perceived inadequacies of the forestry department in securing the leopard, notwithstanding the passage of a four-hour interval.
