Amidst the tragic demise of two individuals ensnared in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the focal point now shifts to the involvement of an Indian gentleman, Faisal Abdul Mutallib Khan. Operating a recruitment agency alongside a prominent YouTube channel titled Baba Vlogs, Khan’s culpability in orchestrating the enticement of numerous individuals under the guise of lucrative positions within the Russian military has surfaced.
Reportedly, Khan enticed several Indian men with the promise of well-paying roles in non-combat capacities within the Russian armed forces. Regrettably, many of these individuals were subsequently thrust into active warfare.
In a particular video released in September 2023, Khan assured his audience that beyond substantial remuneration, those opting to join the Russian military would also receive a government-issued card facilitating the attainment of permanent residency.
It is alleged that Khan dispatched a considerable number of Indian nationals to Russia, enticing them with prospects of employment in support roles within the Russian military. One such individual, Mohammed Afsan, met a tragic fate on the Ukrainian battlefield.
