Yamaha, the renowned Japanese company, is all set to make waves in the Indian market with the anticipated launch of its iconic bikes, the R3 and MT-03, scheduled for December 15. This strategic move has been in the making for some time, initially gaining attention back in July during the Madras International Circuit event and later confirmed during the Indian MotoGP round.
According to reports from AutoCar, the announcement regarding the pricing of these bikes is imminent. Currently, enthusiasts can also gain insights into both models in Thailand, further fueling the anticipation surrounding their imminent arrival in India.
The company has disclosed plans for immediate deliveries in over 100 cities nationwide post the December 15 launch. However, it’s important to note that both models won’t be available at every showroom. Yamaha intends to retail the R3 and MT-03 bikes through select Blue Square dealers across the country.
The return of the fully-faired YZF-R3 to the Indian market marks a significant milestone, considering its earlier presence during the BS4 era. Additionally, the naked variant, MT-03, will make its debut in the Indian sales landscape for the first time.
Both models will be powered by a similar 321CC parallel-twin engine, generating 42hp and 29.5Nm of torque, housed within a singular frame. While the R3 previously sported a traditional telescopic fork, this time around, both bikes will feature an inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
This strategic move by Yamaha signals a strong resurgence into the Indian market, capitalizing on the demand for these iconic bikes. Stay tuned for more updates on the specifications, pricing, and the ultimate experience these two models are set to offer.
