OnePlus, the smartphone manufacturer, recently confirmed the launch of its first foldable flagship phone, the OnePlus Open. This foldable phone is set to be unveiled at a global event in Mumbai on October 19. The India pricing and sale date of the OnePlus Open were leaked online ahead of the official launch.

According to Abhishek Yadav, a reliable leaker on X (formerly known as Twitter), the price of the OnePlus Open in India will be approximately Rs 1,39,999. The first sale of this device is scheduled to start on October 27.

The expected price of the OnePlus Open is close to the starting price of Rs 1,54,999 for its rival, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (12GB/256GB storage model). In China, the OnePlus Open will be launched under the name Oppo Find N3. The company had previously shared the first official look of the OnePlus Open in a teaser image provided to ABP Live.

The OnePlus Open will compete with other foldable phones, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N3 Flip, and Tecno Phantom V Flip. Contrary to previous rumors, which suggested a more aggressive pricing between Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 1,20,000, the actual price appears to be higher.

According to a renowned Chinese tipster, the OnePlus Open is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 48MP primary sensor and a 64MP periscope sensor.

  • The device is likely to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.

  • In terms of camera capabilities, it’s expected to have a triple rear camera setup, including a 48MP primary sensor, a 48MP secondary sensor, and a 64MP sensor with a telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera for selfies and video calls is rumored to be either 32-megapixels or 20-megapixels.

  • The OnePlus Open is anticipated to come with a 4,805mAh battery and support rapid 100W wired charging.
