In Lucknow, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) plans to question YouTuber and former Big Boss OTT victor Elvish Yadav in relation to the case involving snake venom.
The authority aims to probe him concerning the purported distribution of snake venom at extravagant gatherings. ED has concluded the examination of Gaurav Gupta’s account, who had lodged a complaint against Yadav in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Additionally, the bureau has also interviewed Yadav’s acquaintances Ishwar and Vinay Yadav.
Previously, the agency had interrogated Gaurav Gupta, an official associated with Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals, at the ED headquarters in New Delhi. In the year 2023, Gaurav Gupta had filed a First Information Report (FIR) in Noida, accusing Yadav of dispensing snake venom at high-end social gatherings.
Noida Police compiled a voluminous chargesheet spanning 1200 pages and including statements from 24 witnesses. Yadav faced arrest on March 17 following an undercover operation carried out by the organization. Nonetheless, he was subsequently released on bail.
ED assumed control of the inquiry from Noida Police and initiated legal proceedings against Yadav under the Money Laundering Act last April. It procured additional intelligence from law enforcement, revealing that Yadav and his cohorts were involved in the supply of snake venom at opulent gatherings hosted in prominent hotels, resorts, and clubs.
Presently, ED is poised to scrutinize the management of the establishments where these gatherings took place. Moreover, Yadav may face inquiries regarding his ownership of luxury automobiles and his financial transactions.
