In the realm of Lucknow, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vehemently counterattacked Akhilesh Yadav’s pronouncement concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Asserting their imminent triumph, the BJP contended that the Samajwadi Party’s “hooliganism” is destined for defeat once more.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and distinguished BJP luminary Keshav Prasad Maurya delivered a stern warning to the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief via the social media platform ‘X’. In his missive, Maurya underscored, “SP chief Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji ought to bear in mind that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji not only commands unparalleled popularity within India but also on a global scale.”
He continued, “The BJP clinched victories in the 2014/2017/2019 and 2022 elections (Lok Sabha-Vidhan Sabha) and is poised to replicate that success in 2024. The SP’s penchant for hooliganism is destined for defeat once again. The disparagement of Modi ji shall not be countenanced by India.” This riposte came in reaction to the Samajwadi Party chief’s comparison of Prime Minister Modi to Hitler, though refraining from explicitly naming him.
Yadav asserted, “Those who ascended to power in 2014 are set to relinquish it in 2024. A decade marked Hitler’s era; he couldn’t endure beyond ten years. Similarly, the one in power now (alluding to Prime Minister Modi) has surpassed a decade,” referring to Adolf Hitler’s tenure as Germany’s Fuhrer from August 2, 1934, to April 30, 1945.
In response to the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s remarks, BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary issued a statement contending that Yadav’s comments revealed a deep-seated frustration. “His aspirations of toppling the BJP in 2024 will remain elusive,” asserted Chaudhary. He underscored that the BJP, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, had dealt the Samajwadi Party resounding defeats in 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2022, emphasizing that this trend would persist not only in 2024 but beyond.
Chaudhary prophesied the complete obliteration of the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance. “With the impending elections, their frustration is escalating. As their coalition partners desert them one by one, their mental equilibrium has unraveled into frustration. The repercussions of the derogatory comments made about the prime minister shall be borne by Yadav,” he concluded.
