In the vibrant city of Jaipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah articulated on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi harbors a paramount aspiration to propel India into the realm of developed nations by the year 2047. Simultaneously, the INDIA bloc channels its focus towards fostering the professional trajectories of the progeny of political leaders.

Addressing the Karyakarta Sammelan in Jaipur, Shah expounded, “PM Modi has delineated an ambitious goal—by 2047, India is poised to stand as the most advanced nation globally. Over the past decade, the foundations for this development have been meticulously laid by PM Modi. The Modi government is unequivocally dedicated to the country’s progress, while the INDIA alliance is ardently committed to nurturing the careers of the successors of party leaders.”

Shah underscored the juxtaposition of the BJP’s vision of “Sarvapratham Bharat” (India First) with the INDIA bloc’s dynamics. He drew parallels to Sonia Gandhi’s advocacy for her son Rahul Gandhi as the potential PM, Lalu Yadav’s aspirations for his son Tejashwi Yadav as the deputy PM, Uddhav Thackrey’s ambitions for his son as CM, and MK Stalin’s strategic considerations for his son’s political ascent.

Enumerating the achievements of the Modi government during the BJP’s decade-long tenure at the Centre, Shah stated at the Prabuddhjan Sammelan in Jaipur, “For four decades, the One Rank One Pension scheme lingered without approval, but PM Modi fulfilled the commitment within four years. On August 5, 2019, when the Modi government assumed power for the second term, Article 370 was abrogated. Cinema halls have been resurrected in Jammu and Kashmir after a hiatus of 30 years, attracting over 2 crore tourists.”

Shah asserted that under PM Modi’s leadership, the nation has achieved a heightened state of security, responding resolutely to incidents like Pulwama and Uri. He identified four afflictions that had plagued the nation—Nepotism, corruption, appeasement, and casteism—asserting, “PM Modi has put an end to these practices in the last decade. The INDIA alliance, however, lacks leadership and direction.”

Highlighting instances of opposition from the Congress, Shah mentioned their resistance to the construction of a new parliament and the renaming of Rajpath to Kartavya Path. The Congress also boycotted the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya. Shah acknowledged India’s independence 75 years ago but credited PM Modi for infusing vitality into the nation.

PM Modi’s government introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), granting citizenship to Hindu refugees from Pakistan and Bangladesh. Triple Talaq was abolished, and Uniform Civil Code (UCC) was implemented in Uttarakhand under Modi’s leadership.

Shah emphasized the restoration of peace in Kashmir and Northeastern states under the Modi government. During the Covid pandemic, the government successfully vaccinated 130 crore citizens, positioning India as a global leader in vaccine production and distribution.

Quoting Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Rajendra Prasad, Shah advocated for the Uniform Civil Code, accusing past leaders of shying away from its implementation for the sake of winning minority votes. Uttarakhand became the first BJP-ruled state to enact the UCC.

In a veiled jibe at Rahul Gandhi, Shah remarked on the Prime Minister’s work ethic, highlighting PM Modi’s continuous service over 23 years without taking a leave. Shah concluded by enumerating the social welfare measures undertaken by the Modi government, including free food grain distribution, sanitary facilities for 13 crore households, LPG connections for 12 crore households, and free medical facilities up to 5 lakhs for 60 crore people.
