Rae Bareli: Dalit Arjun Pasi was shot lifeless in Pichwaria village of Nasirabad. Police was not capable of arrest the primary accused. Congress’s Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi expressed his displeasure over this and wrote a letter to CM Yogi. Taking cognizance of this, CM Yogi handed over the investigation of the case from Rae Bareli Police to Unnao Police by way of Principal Secretary Residence. The then Nasirabad police station in-charge Jitendra Kumar Saroj has additionally been despatched to the road. In his place, Bhadokhar police station in-charge Shivakant Pandey has been despatched to Nasirabad.

Arjun Pasi was murdered on 11 August in Pichwaria village. Police had registered a case towards 7 accused within the case. 6 accused had been despatched to jail within the case. The SP had advised that on the day of Nag Panchami, Arjun Pasi and Naveen Singh had a battle within the enviornment. Arjun had overwhelmed Naveen Singh. The incident was carried out to take revenge for this. Naveen Singh, Arjun Yadav, Anshu Yadav, Ankit Kumar, Phoolchand, Harshit Mishra had been jailed within the homicide case.
