In Ayodhya, the Secretary General of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai, made a revelation on Monday, stating that since the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla on January 22 this year, a staggering 1.5 crore individuals have graced Ram Lalla with their darshan. Rai added that the sanctum welcomes in excess of one lakh devotees each day, drawn to seek divine blessings.
“Each day, a surplus of one lakh individuals traverse to the sanctum for ‘darshan’. Following the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ on January 22, an approximate 1.5 crore individuals have embarked on the pilgrimage to Ram Lalla’s sanctum,” remarked Rai. Additionally, the Secretary General of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra unveiled plans for the erection of a 14-foot-wide fortification wall encircling the temple, denoted as the ‘Parkota.’
“Merely the foundation floor of the sanctum has been completed, where the ‘Pran Pratistha’ of Ram Lalla was consecrated; construction of the inaugural floor is currently underway. A 14 ft security barrier will enclose the sanctum. This fortification is termed as the ‘Parkota’ of the temple,” he elucidated. Rai further divulged that the ‘Parkota’ will serve as a multifaceted enclave, housing 6 additional shrines.
The ‘Parkota’ will be a versatile space wherein 6 additional sanctuaries shall be established, dedicated to lord Shankar, lord Surya, a ‘Garbhgriha,’ and flanking these, temples dedicated to lord Hanuman and Ma Annapurna shall be erected… Sanctums venerating Maharishi Valmiki, Maharishi Vashishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, and Maharishi Agastya are also slated for construction within the temple precincts. Temples honoring Nishad Raj, Ma Shabri, Ma Ahilya, and Jatayu are also in the pipeline.
“The temple will possess the capacity to host 25,000 pilgrims concurrently, along with their belongings,” he stated. “The flora and fauna on the grounds are safeguarded, with 600 specimens residing on the premises, all under protection. Facilities for water treatment and sewage treatment are also in place. This temple shall be self-sufficient, obviating any inconvenience for the populace of Ayodhya in meeting the temple’s requirements,” he affirmed.
Recently, Ram Navami was jubilantly commemorated for the first time at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
