Amidst a fervent speech delivered in Mirzapur, Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party, fervently asserted the deteriorating plight of impoverished individuals hailing from the higher echelons of society, highlighting the Brahmin community’s plight, purportedly besieged by the administration led by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh. In a fervid declaration of support for BSP aspirant Manish Tiwari, she lamented the escalating persecution against marginalized groups under the cloak of Hindutva, portraying a somber narrative of oppression prevailing within the state.

Mayawati vehemently criticized the BJP’s governance, likening their policies to those of the Congress, and voiced conviction that the National Democratic Alliance, tainted by casteism, capitalism, and communalism, would falter in its bid to retain authority at the national level, contingent upon the sanctity of electoral procedures and the integrity of voting mechanisms.

“The zenith of atrocities committed under the facade of Hindutva has been reached. Concurrently, the destitution plaguing the upper strata of society is palpable. Notably, the Brahmin populace finds itself disproportionately subjected to systemic harassment statewide,” Mayawati articulated. “The maladministration perpetuated by the BJP has precipitated dire ramifications for the nation’s economic landscape. Persistent escalation of poverty, unemployment, and inflation persists unabated, with the scourge of corruption remaining entrenched,” she added.

Urging the electorate to thwart the ascension of either the BJP or the Congress to power in the Lok Sabha, Mayawati avowed that a BSP-led administration would prioritize the welfare of all citizens. “In the event of the BSP assuming the helm of governance, the guiding ethos shall be ‘Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhay’ (welfare for all). Thus, the unrealized vision of BSP progenitor Kanshi Ram ji can be actualized,” she proclaimed.

In reference to the government’s provision of subsidized rations, Mayawati disparaged the notion of enduring benefit, cautioning against reliance on transient largesse. “The nominal allotment of gratis sustenance extends no enduring solace. It behooves one to acknowledge that such benevolence emanates not from the coffers of the BJP and RSS faithful, but rather from the collective coffers sustained by your fiscal contributions,” she emphasized. The electoral exercise in Mirzapur is slated for phase seven on June 1.
