In Lucknow, several educational institutions found themselves under the shadow of bomb threats, instigating fear among both students and faculty members.
Prompted by threatening emails, school administrations promptly alerted law enforcement authorities. Local police units, accompanied by K-9 units and bomb disposal teams, swiftly descended upon the premises, initiating meticulous sweeps subsequent to the evacuation of all occupants.
Pandemonium erupted at Vibgyor School in Gomti Nagar and St. Mary’s School in Kapurthala, with the arrival of ominous electronic communications around 8 am. Urgent notifications were dispatched to the police, followed by the dismissal of students for their safety. Presently, the authorities, in tandem with canine units and bomb disposal experts, are engaged in systematic searches.
Inspector Deepak Pandey of Gomti Nagar divulged that intelligence regarding the bomb threat surfaced at 9 am, prompting immediate investigative measures within the educational compounds. “Diligent endeavors persist in unmasking the sender of the electronic missive. However, no incriminating artifacts or explosive materials have been unearthed thus far,” Pandey disclosed.
The preceding day, numerous airports nationwide, including Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport, found themselves embroiled in similar threats. A communication intercepted by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) prophesied the placement of explosive devices within the confines of several airports, including those in Delhi, Jaipur, Jammu, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Patna, Agartala, Aurangabad, Bagdogra, Bhopal, and Calicut, with an imminent detonation timeline.
“Disregard this correspondence at your peril. Promptly dismantle the explosive devices, lest innocent lives be forfeited,” the correspondence admonished. Subsequent investigations unveiled the subterfuge underlying the communication.
