Regrettably, a toddler of merely three years perished in a conflagration that erupted within the vicinity of four domiciles while toasting chickpeas in the district of Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh on the present weekday, as relayed by the authorities. A sum of Rs 4 lakh in monetary support has been declared for the kin of the deceased.

This lamentable event unfolded in the rural expanse of Faizipur within the precincts of the Manjhanpur Kotwali zone in Kaushambi. A cluster of juveniles were engaged in the act of toasting chickpeas proximate to the abode of Dashrath Saroj on the said day. Abruptly, the dwelling of Saroj became engulfed in flames owing to the stray embers, subsequently propagating to the contiguous abodes of Naresh, Rajesh, and Rakesh.

Upon being apprised of the conflagration spanning across four residences, the fire brigade hastened to the scene and commenced endeavors to quell the inferno. By the time the flames were quenched, myriad belongings within the four abodes had been reduced to cinders. The charred remains of a toddler aged three were retrieved from the residence of Saroj. The departed soul, identified as Anushka, is the granddaughter of Saroj.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sirathu, Mahesh Pratap Srivastava, arrived at the site accompanied by a retinue of officials and declared financial aid amounting to Rs 4 lakh for the bereaved family.

Saroj, a local agriculturist, had welcomed his daughter Phoolkari into his abode following the demise of her spouse four moons ago. Since then, Phoolkari along with her offspring, Anushka, had been domiciled at Saroj’s residence.

SDM Srivastava elucidated that the conflagration initially erupted within Saroj’s domicile before extending its ravages to three additional residences. “A three-year-old succumbed to her injuries. She is the progeny of Phoolkali, who is the daughter of the domicile’s owner, Saroj. Phoolkali has been residing here subsequent to the demise of her husband. The remains of the infant have been dispatched for post-mortem analysis. The financial aid totaling Rs 4 lakh shall be disbursed to the bereaved family within a span of 24 hours,” articulated Srivastava.
