In Budaun (UP), the progenitor of the Budaun juveniles who perished by the hands of a tonsorialist within their domicile, incinerated his motorcycle and endeavored self-immolation, profoundly disheartened by the lingering ambiguity regarding the motive behind the onslaught. Two adolescents met their demise in the enclave of Baba on the 19th of March.

Vinod Kumar, their progenitor, subsequent to igniting his motorcycle, endeavored self-immolation but was thwarted by law enforcement. Munni Devi, Vinod’s matron, lamented the loss of her grandchildren for six days, yet the law enforcement remained bereft of a discernible motive behind the malevolence. “It appears that law enforcement harbors concealed information,” she lamented.

Senior Superintendent of Police Alok Priyadarshi expounded that Vinod, lamenting the absence of his progeny due to Holi, conflagrated his motorcycle in a fit of rage. “Upon beholding their footwear, garments, and other festive paraphernalia, he succumbed to his ire and kindled his motorcycle to release his pent-up emotions,” he expounded. Following the incident, Sajid and Javed, both tonsorialists, were identified as the perpetrators.

While Sajid perished in a confrontation with law enforcement on the same day, Javed, on the 22nd of March, voluntarily surrendered at the Satellite Police Outpost of the Baradari Police Station in the neighboring Bareilly district. As per law enforcement, Javed had been absconding since the homicides and had sought refuge at his in-laws’ abode before relocating to Delhi, where his acquaintances apprised him of law enforcement’s pursuit. He subsequently capitulated.

Mere hours subsequent to the incident on March 19th, Sajid met his demise in a confrontation with law enforcement. Sajid infiltrated the domicile of an acquainted family and purportedly assailed Ayush, 12, Ahaan, alias Honey, 8, and Yuvraj, 10, with a blade. Ayush and Ahaan succumbed instantaneously, while Yuvraj was hospitalized with severe lacerations. The Budaun district administration has commissioned a magisterial probe into Sajid’s altercation.
