A collision of significant magnitude unfolded between a tractor trolley and an automobile in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, this past Sunday. Tragically, three individuals, pilgrims who had embarked on a journey from Soron in Kasganj to partake in the sacred waters of the Ganga on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra, succumbed to the aftermath of this collision. Additionally, two others sustained severe injuries.
The lamentable incident claimed the lives of three individuals instantaneously. Authorities swiftly transported the wounded to the confines of the medical college. This unfortunate occurrence transpired in close proximity to the Isan river, within the jurisdiction of the Rijor police station.
The individuals who met their untimely demise in the aftermath of the collision hailed from Firozabad and Mainpuri. Following their ritual ablutions near Soron, they commenced their journey back to Shikohabad by means of an automobile. However, fate took a cruel turn as their vehicle encountered an empty tractor-trolley upon reaching the vicinity of Bakalpur village, resulting in a cataclysmic collision.
Among the occupants of the ill-fated automobile were Govind, accompanied by his wife Pinky and mother Sarla Devi, alongside Daya, the daughter of Rakesh, and Girish Chandra. Regrettably, Sarla, Pinky, and Girish Chandra perished instantaneously. Govind and the 16-year-old Daya sustained grievous injuries and were subsequently referred to the healthcare facility in Agra. Following the incident, the tractor operator absconded from the scene. Upon receiving word of the tragedy, SSP Rajesh Singh and Additional SP Dhananjay Kushwaha promptly arrived at the scene of the collision.
