In Gorakhpur this Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Executive Yogi Adityanath is set to unveil initiatives valued at Rs 25 crore, specifically directed towards the secondary education domain. As per the official government spokesperson, the inauguration of ‘Project Alankar’ across 26 secondary schools is on the agenda, coupled with the introduction of state-of-the-art smart classrooms across 141 secondary schools. The designated venue for this noteworthy occasion is the esteemed Jubilee Inter College.
During the ceremonial affair, Chief Minister Adityanath will actively partake in the dispersal of cutting-edge smartphones and tablets. An impressive total of 3,000 students will be bestowed with smartphones, while an additional 1,500 will be recipients of tablets. It’s worth noting that the Chief Minister will personally oversee the delivery of these electronic devices to select students. Moreover, Yogi Adityanath is slated to lay the groundwork for the rejuvenation and establishment of infrastructural amenities across 21 government schools, all under the aegis of Project Alankar. The overall financial allocation for this venture stands at a substantial Rs 12.05 crore.
Noteworthy is the allocation of Rs 5.29 crore for the refurbishment of five non-governmental inter-colleges, benefiting from external assistance. Additionally, the Chief Minister will officiate the commencement of operations for 330 high-end smart classrooms, designed to elevate the standard of education in 141 secondary schools within Gorakhpur. The cost per class, amounting to Rs 2.29 lakh, will result in a cumulative expenditure of Rs 7.57 crore.
