Kanpur: A fraudster swindled lakhs of rupees from individuals by posing as a pretend IAS officer

Kanpur: On Wednesday, the police of Colonelganj police station arrested an individual who cheated individuals of lakhs of rupees by pretending to be an IAS officer in Kanpur and promising them authorities jobs. In January final 12 months, Amar Singh of Vijaynagar filed a case of dishonest of 21 lakhs towards Amit Singh and his father Satendra Bahadur within the title of getting a authorities job. Amit Singh had claimed himself to be an IAS officer. Colonelganj police station in-charge Ravindra Srivastava mentioned that the police had already arrested the accused Satendra, now Amit Singh has been arrested and despatched to jail.
