In the heart of Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant journey by submitting his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. Arriving at the DM office adorned in a pristine white Kurta paired with white churidar and a striking blue jacket, PM Modi symbolized a blend of tradition and modernity.

As the incumbent MP and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s nominee, Modi formally filed his nomination papers at the district magistrate’s office, marking a pivotal moment in the electoral timeline. Varanasi is slated for polling during the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for June 1.

Before the official filing, Modi immersed himself in spiritual rituals, offering prayers at the revered Dashashwamedh Ghat nestled along the banks of the sacred Ganges. Embarking on a serene cruise to the Namo Ghat, he continued his spiritual journey by seeking blessings at the Kaal Bhairav Temple, engaging in the soul-stirring ritual of Aarti.

In a poignant display of reverence, PM Modi partook in the Ganga Aarti, extending his supplications to the divine River Ganga on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Saptami.

The choice of May 14 for filing his nomination held profound significance for PM Modi, resonating with the sacred observance of Ganga Saptami in Hindu tradition. This auspicious date, coupled with the celestial alignment of Pushya Nakshatra, is believed to amplify the prospects of success and fruition of endeavors embarked upon on this revered day.

Selecting the auspicious hour of 11.40 AM for filing his nomination, PM Modi aligned with the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat and Anand Yog, as dictated by astrological wisdom. Abhijit Muhurat, the eighth muhurat of the day, is revered for its auspiciousness, spanning the period between sunrise and sunset.

Amidst a gathering adorned with notable dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the esteemed Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri, renowned for his role in determining auspicious timings for significant ceremonies such as the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi’s nomination filing ceremony resonated with both political significance and spiritual fervor.
