In Kota, Rajasthan, the announcement came on Wednesday from the National Testing Agency that the NEET-UG medical entrance examination is slated to transpire at examination hubs in 14 international cities spanning 12 nations on May 5.
Sadhna Parashar, the NTA Senior Director (Exams), elucidated, “The NEET-UG entrance examination is set to unfold in 14 international cities across 12 nations. The 14 international cities earmarked for the examination encompass Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah (UAE); Kuwait City in Kuwait; Bangkok in Thailand; Colombo in Sri Lanka; Doha in Qatar; Kathmandu in Nepal; Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; Lagos in Nigeria; Manama in Bahrain; Muscat in Oman; Riyadh in Saudi Arabia; and Singapore.”
For those students who initially selected an examination center within India but aspire to partake in the examination abroad, the option to amend their examination center and country choice shall be presented during the correction window, slated to open subsequent to the closure of the registration window, as per Parashar.
Parijat Mishra, an expert in career counseling at a private coaching institute in Kota, expressed, “Examination centers have been established in 14 cities beyond the borders of India, predominantly in neighboring countries and the Gulf region. While the announcement of these centers is customary during registration each year, the National Testing Agency departed from this tradition, prompting the issuance of a subsequent notification.”
“In addition,” Mishra continued, “the National Testing Agency has apprised students of the forthcoming opening of the correction window post the culmination of the registration process. The NTA stipulated a fee of Rs 9500 for foreign candidates.” Mishra emphasized that the Testing Agency initiated the online applications for the NEET-UG 2024 examination on February 9.
