In Rae Bareli, the Congress luminary Priyanka Gandhi denounced the BJP’s measures as ‘adverse to the populace’ and ‘counter to democracy’, contending that the present scenario in India mirrors that of the British Raj era.
“Presently, the circumstances in the nation echo those of the British era. Today, the impoverished and agriculturists are undergoing the same deprivation as in the past. Over the last decade, the destitute and rural populace have been overlooked in policy formulation, resulting in their tribulations. Despite their toil, these individuals are denied due remuneration,” Priyanka articulated during a gathering in this locale.
She went on to assert that the common man struggles to sustain his family and lacks the requisite government support. She highlighted that the administration’s emphasis solely on providing a meager 5 kilograms of ration is insufficient.
“The BJP endeavors to portray a favorable portrayal of a robust economy, yet tangible benefits remain elusive in your daily lives. The mechanisms that underpin democracy have been enfeebled. Whether it’s the press or the judiciary, every institution is being undermined, including Parliament,” she remarked.
Speaking at the workers’ symposium at Bhumau Guest House, Priyanka urged everyone to diligently engage at the grassroots level. She framed it as an opportunity to effectuate governmental change.
Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari disclosed that a concerted effort has been initiated to secure Rahul Gandhi’s victory by a margin exceeding five hundred thousand votes. He affirmed the unwavering commitment of all workers toward this objective.
