Ayodhya: The Ram temple in Ayodhya is adorned to mark the commencement of Navratri after its sanctification on January 22. Starting from the inaugural day of Chaitra Navratri until Ram Navami on April 17, the idol of Lord Ram will be adorned in a unique ensemble each day, as communicated by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust through a communication on X.
In addition, a visual representation showcasing the meticulously crafted garments for the deity has been shared by the organizers. The novel attire is meticulously crafted from hand-woven and hand-spun khadi cotton.
Anticipating a significant congregation during the nine-day festivity, the trust has issued an appeal urging attendees to refrain from carrying mobile devices into the temple premises.
Champat Rai, the trust’s Secretary General, articulated, “For swift glimpses of Ram Lalla, devotees should securely deposit their mobile devices and footwear at a designated location prior to visiting the Ram Mandir. This will expedite the process and facilitate seamless movement through the queue.”
Meanwhile, numerous contingents of paramilitary personnel, in conjunction with local law enforcement, have been deployed in Ayodhya in anticipation of the upcoming celebration. Additional officers from neighboring districts of Uttar Pradesh have been enlisted for support.
The administrative authorities are diligently overseeing the arrangements for Ram Navami and the extended ‘Ram Janamotsav’ spanning from April 9 to April 17.
Official inspections of Ram Janmabhoomi have been conducted to assess security measures within the temple complex, with directives issued to ensure visitor comfort.
Ram Navami, a festivity commemorating the birth of Lord Ram, is scheduled for the ninth day of ‘Chaitra Navratri.’
Authorities are diligently addressing logistical challenges to ensure the safety and comfort of devotees during Ram Navami. However, accurately estimating the expected influx of devotees remains a complex task, with dedicated teams actively engaged in this endeavor.
Contemplation is underway regarding the implementation of multiple entry and exit points to mitigate the risk of overcrowding and stampedes. Considering the prevailing warm climate, provisions such as hydration stations and seating arrangements are being arranged to prevent heat-related ailments among pilgrims.
Efforts are also being made to maintain adequate supplies of essential commodities such as dairy products, sweeteners, beverages, grains, and produce in guesthouses, temples, makeshift accommodations, and hotels where pilgrims will be accommodated.
