Ayodhya is on the brink of a spiritually vibrant period, as a tapestry of religious festivities spans across the nation. On one hand, the nativity of Lord Ram is being commemorated, while on the other, the harmonious Ganga Jamuni culture is exemplified during this Eid.

In honor of Eid-ul-Fitr, the chief priest of the Ram temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, made a ceremonial visit to the abode of former Babri Masjid protester Iqbal Ansari to extend felicitations for the solemn occasion. The priest was met with a heartfelt reception, showered with floral accolades and garlands. Ansari’s kin embraced the priest, seeking his benedictions.

Reflecting on his gesture, Acharya Das mentioned, “I visited Iqbal Ansari’s residence to convey Eid greetings on this day of significance for the Muslim community.” He added, “Whenever there is a festivity in our Hindu community, such as Diwali or Holi, Ansari partakes in our celebrations as well.”

The chief priest wished Ansari’s family fortune, joy, and growth, praying for their welfare. Iqbal responded, affirming that Das’s actions exemplify the ethos of Ayodhya as a nexus of faith.

He further noted, “This month holds substantial meaning for both Muslims and Hindus. While Eid was observed, the Ram Navami fair will be celebrated on April 17. Ayodhya, the sanctified city, embodies the spirit of Hindu-Muslim fraternity. I wish for the preservation of the Ganga Jamuni culture.”

“During the Eid festivities, several Hindu friends visited my home, and they were received warmly by us. We were blessed by the chief priest of the Ram temple. It’s imperative to maintain concord between Hindus and Muslims. Regardless of the ruling power, the sense of religious concord and camaraderie must endure,” Iqbal concluded.
