Union Home Minister Amit Shah articulated on Wednesday that the ongoing Lok Sabha election delineates a clash between the proponents of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and those who perpetrated aggression against Ram devotees. Addressing a campaign assembly in Deoria to endorse BJP contender Shashank Mani Tripathi, he censured the opposition for obstructing the erection of the Ram Temple for more than seven decades, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi solely for its realization.

“This electoral contest pivots on the dichotomy between the architects of the Ram Temple and those who assailed the devotees of Ram,” he remarked, alluding to the assault on karsevaks in 1990 during Mulayam Singh Yadav’s tenure as the Uttar Pradesh chief minister. Earlier, at a gathering in Maharajganj, Shah derided the Samajwadi Party and Congress, alleging that they have resorted to scapegoating electronic voting machines for their anticipated debacle in the Lok Sabha elections.

“The reckoning is slated for June 4. Come afternoon, the duo of ‘shehzade’ (Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav) will convene a press briefing, attributing our loss to a defective EVM,” he quipped. “Modi has surpassed the threshold of 310 seats across five rounds. Rahul baba, you shan’t secure even 40 seats, and the other ‘shehzade’ (Akhilesh Yadav) will merely clinch four,” he proclaimed at the rally rallying behind party nominee Pankaj Chaudhary.

He underscored that the opposition lacks a prime ministerial nominee and espouses the notion of rotating five prime ministers within five years. “This isn’t a corner store but a nation comprising 130 crore individuals. Can such a prime minister deliver?” he queried. Taking aim at the opposition, he rebuked Congress leaders for insinuating that Pakistan’s possession of a nuclear arsenal intimidates BJP members.

“Pakistan-occupied Kashmir unequivocally remains and shall continue to be an integral part of India, and we shall reclaim it,” he affirmed. Alluding to the Sahara scandal, Shah contended that it transpired during the incumbency of the opposition. “Akhilesh (Akhilesh Yadav), the malfeasance unfolded under your administration. Modi ji instigated the restitution process,” he asserted.

Sahara conglomerate entities faced allegations of circumventing regulations through Ponzi schemes, contentions refuted by the group. Endeavoring to strike a chord with agrarians, Shah commemorated the death anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, attributing Narendra Modi for posthumously conferring Bharat Ratna upon him and bestowing honor upon all Uttar Pradesh farmers.

The veteran BJP luminary also censured past administrations for shuttering sugar mills and vowed the construction of a new colossal sugar mill in Maharajganj should the BJP reclaim authority. Asserting that terrorist incursions burgeoned during Congress rule, Shah proclaimed at the Deoria rally, “Upon Narendra Modi’s ascension, we conducted surgical and aerial strikes, exacting retribution upon Pakistan on its own turf and eradicating terrorism.”

Shah also broached the subject of reservations, castigating opposition factions for their purported endeavor to rescind reservations for SC/ST/OBC communities to curry favor with their electoral base. “I pledge a Modi assurance; no entity shall tamper with the reservations afforded to SC/ST and OBC constituencies as long as a solitary BJP parliamentarian graces the august halls. These individuals have truncated the reservations for marginalized classes to satiate political expediency,” he declared.

He also eulogized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, remarking, “Yogi ji has eradicated the vermin through sanitation and uprooted the criminal syndicates from Uttar Pradesh with his modus operandi.” The ballot in Maharajganj and Deoria is slated for June 1.
