In Azamgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi articulated that the Samajwadi Party and Congress propagated falsehoods concerning the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, or CAA, endeavoring to instigate turmoil within the nation.

The Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has designated Mashhood Ahmed for the Azamgarh seat in Uttar Pradesh. Dharmendra Yadav is vying for the Samajwadi Party’s stronghold in Azamgarh during the Lok Sabha elections. The electoral process in Azamgarh is slated for the sixth phase on May 25, with vote tallying scheduled for June 4.
