Lucknow: The eighth annual Wajid Ali Shah Competition Dil e Nazuk and Dastan e Wajid Ali Shah conceived and directed by Muzaffar Ali introduced by Rumi Basis Lucknow Chapter was celebrated with nice pomp on the 5 star lodge Taj Mahal in Lucknow on Saturday. Kathak on a Ghazal by Shivani Verma remembering Lucknow by Wajid Ali Shah and Dastan e Wajid Ali Shah by Dr. Himanshu Bajpai and Dr. Pragya Sharma carried out.

Wajid Ali ought to have been often called an individual, a human being and an artist. Rumi Basis had established the Wajid Ali Shah Competition on Gomti in 2013. Wajid Ali Shah Competition was established by the Lucknow chapter of Rumi Basis for the preservation of cultures. Wajid Ali Shah, the final Nawab of Awadh was one such icon who launched an enormous style for the enjoyment of life and celebration of tradition.
