The much-anticipated construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the heart of India’s spiritual heritage, is nearing completion. This monumental structure, dedicated to Lord Shri Ram, will soon be accessible through flights from Delhi to Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Shri Ram Airport in Ayodhya on December 25th, marking a historic moment. Commencing from December 30th, the first flights will land there, and starting from January 6th, 2024, direct flights from Delhi to Ayodhya will begin.

Connecting with Spiritual Roots: Inauguration of Shri Ram Airport

Reports reveal that IndiGo, a leading aviation company, is poised to operate these flights from January 6th. All necessary licensing processes have been diligently fulfilled, paving the way for devotees to reach the revered Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya via air travel, coinciding with the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22nd, 2024.

CM Yogi’s Inspection and Progress Update

Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and VK Singh, inspected the airport. Officials were given a deadline of December 15th to complete all pending work, assuring both the Chief Minister and central ministers that the project is progressing efficiently and will meet its set milestones.

Final Touches on the International Airport

The construction of the runway for the international airport has reached its final phase, currently spanning a length of 2200 meters. The subsequent phase aims to extend the runway to 3700 meters. The terminal building construction stands at an impressive 95% completion, projecting a sprawling area of 50,000 square feet for the Shri Ram Airport.

Night Landing Facilities and Project Progress

Various equipment necessary for night landings, including Cat-1 and RESA facilities for foggy conditions, have been successfully installed. Landing lights have also been set up, alongside the establishment of an ATC tower and a fully functional fire station. Additionally, the project has acquired a total of 821 acres of land for its expansion and allied facilities.
