Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh): In the hamlet of Thaliya Gram Panchayat, nestled within the district of Bahraich, a tragic chain of events unfolded, leaving a young man deceased from suicide after allegedly taking the life of his 15-year-old sister, authorities disclosed on Sunday.
According to law enforcement, Shyama Devi, a young inhabitant of Baduvapur within the Thaliya Gram Panchayat, reportedly succumbed to an attack involving a spade within the confines of her dwelling late the previous evening. In an unsettling turn of events, her brother, Munshilal, was discovered hanging from an Acacia tree not far from their residence. Preliminary indications suggest Munshilal might have ended his own life after purportedly slaying his sister, as per police accounts.
Upon receiving information from nearby residents, local law enforcement promptly dispatched a team to the scene, initiating an investigation. By roughly 11 pm, Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla, accompanied by Circle Officer Anil Kumar Singh, visited the incident site for an on-site examination. Inspector in-charge Sanjay Kumar Singh provided Superintendent Shukla with a comprehensive briefing on the situation.
Inspector in-charge Sanjay Kumar Singh stated a formal accusation of homicide has been lodged against unknown parties following a report from the watchman’s offspring. The bodies of the deceased siblings were sent for autopsy.
It has come to light that the father of the departed siblings passed away some time ago, and the pair resided with their mother, a brother, and a sister-in-law. However, the three have vanished from sight since the incident was unveiled, as per law enforcement.
Singh mentioned the ongoing pursuit to locate the missing mother, brother, and sister-in-law of the deceased. Investigations are being conducted from multiple perspectives, he emphasized.
