Upon the precincts of Lucknow District, the luminary orchestrator of electoral affairs, the District Election Officer (DEO) and the steward of governance, District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar, convened a convocation with the hierarchical echelons of all political factions to delve into the intricacies of electoral preparedness and meticulous adherence to the paradigm delineated by the model code of conduct stipulated for the imminent elections within the district.
Gangwar accentuated the paramount significance of unwavering conformity to the exalted tenets propounded within the model code of conduct promulgated by the august Election Commission of India. He sternly admonished the political fraternities regarding the dire consequences awaiting transgressors of the electoral code.
He articulated, “The august Election Commission shall inexorably mete out retributive measures against any dereliction of the model code of conduct. The forthcoming nomination phase is slated to commence from April 26th to May 3rd, followed by an interlude earmarked for the dissemination of electoral canvassing, culminating in the hallowed day of balloting on May 20th. Subsequently, the tabulation of ballots is scheduled for June 4th. It is incumbent upon all political entities to dutifully embrace the ethos enshrined within the code of conduct.”
The distinguished Magistrate implored the functionaries of all political entities to assimilate themselves with the minutiae enshrined within the model code of conduct, underscoring the pivotal importance of unequivocal adherence to the diktats enunciated by the august Election Commission of India. Moreover, the Magistrate enjoined them to avail themselves of the Suvidha Portal for the procurement of electoral permissions and the C Vigil Portal for the lodgment of grievances pertaining to the infringement of the model code of conduct.
He expounded, “In a concerted endeavor to ensure maximal participation of the electorate, incessant revisions of the electoral roster are currently underway, with provisions for electronic submissions through Form 6 tailored for individuals whose names are yet to be appended. The issuance of an adjunctive electoral roster on April 1st shall afford a leeway for the submission of applications for name inclusion and transposition. Furthermore, endeavors are afoot to augment the voter turnout within the district, including the erection of 14 nascent booths within edifices of multitudinous storeys.”
The Magistrate issued directives mandating the political factions to furnish electoral rosters encompassing the dignitaries categorized as VIPs and VVIPs, whilst also enjoining upon them the task of identifying individuals yet to be inscribed within the electoral registry.
