Within Pratapgarh precincts, a duo met their demise in a fiery ordeal, whilst three others incurred wounds subsequent to a harrowing collision between their vehicular conveyance and a rapid-moving dumper upon the thoroughfare connecting Prayagraj and Ayodhya during the wee hours of Monday.

Both the automobile and the industrial vehicle became engulfed in flames, emitting billows of incandescence into the dim of night. While two souls succumbed to the inferno instantaneously, three beleaguered passengers found themselves hospitalized, subsequently being transferred to the medical facilities of Prayagraj, following initial treatment at a proximate clinic.

The calamitous event transpired within the environs of Sonawa, nestled within the Chilbila locality under the purview of Nagar Kotwali, as the quintet journeyed homeward to Prayagraj post a pilgrimage to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Their mode of transit collided with a heavy-duty dumper in the vicinity of Polytechnic College along the Prayagraj-Ayodhya highway. The wounded parties have been delineated as Akhil Sahu, hailing from Chaktana within the jurisdiction of the Naini police station in Prayagraj, Satyam Sahu of Kareli Karera, and Vivek.

The identities of the deceased remain undisclosed, as law enforcement elucidates that the entire cohort embarked on their homeward journey to Prayagraj subsequent to partaking in the venerable sight of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The constabulary and firefighting contingents arrived at the scene posthaste post the vehicular mishap.

An official from the local law enforcement precinct expounded upon the grievous nature of the injuries sustained by the survivors. The operator of the dumper absconded from the scene of the catastrophe, whilst the two cadavers have been dispatched for post-mortem examination, he appended.
