In an affirmation of the fervor for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Ahlan Modi’ gathering in Abu Dhabi has observed an unparalleled response, amassing over 65,000 registrations. Jitendra Vaidya, President of the Indian People Forum and spearhead of the ‘Ahlan Modi’ endeavor, conveyed his enthusiasm about the distinctive character of the event.

“This stands as an extraordinarily distinctive event since it isn’t orchestrated by a solitary organization; instead, it is a community-driven initiative. As you’re likely aware, when the name of PM Modi resonates, people assemble in significant numbers. It’s a manifestation of the affection for PM Modi,” Vaidya shared with ANI.

The event, orchestrated by the Indian community in Abu Dhabi, has attracted considerable attention, revealing the extensive admiration and backing for Prime Minister Modi. Vaidya underscored the community-centric essence of ‘Ahlan Modi,’ accentuating its collective orchestration rather than the endeavor of a sole entity.

“The registration for the event surpassed 65,000, and it concluded on Feb 2,” Vaidya disclosed, highlighting the overwhelming response from the Indian diaspora in Abu Dhabi. The Indian expat community, numbering around 3.5 million, constitutes the largest ethnic community in the UAE, constituting roughly 35 percent of the nation’s populace.

The salient features of the event encompass an exposition by over 700 cultural artisans, breathing life into the extensive spectrum of Indian arts, ensuring an all-encompassing cultural extravaganza. Actively involving over 150 Indian community factions in the affair showcases the regional diversity of India and the amalgamation of myriad blue-collar laborers from across the emirates, interlacing a vibrant tapestry of diversity and harmony into the event’s fabric.

In a notable manifestation of solidarity and eager anticipation, the ‘Nari Shakti’ of the Indian community has displayed overwhelming encouragement and zeal. They have enlisted in significant numbers and are actively advocating for the event, encapsulating the essence of women’s empowerment, communal accord, and participation, as per the organizing committee.

In an earlier dialogue with ANI, the Indian ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, remarked that the audience is keen to absorb Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and his conceptualization of ‘Viksit Bharat’ in the ‘Ahlan Modi’ gathering scheduled for February 13.

During his sojourn in the UAE, PM Modi will communicate with the Indian diaspora at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ gathering on February 13. Sunjay Sudhir elucidated that the registration was terminated promptly upon reaching the 65,000 attendee threshold, as further accommodation was unattainable.

PM Modi is poised to embark on a two-day official visit to the UAE commencing tomorrow. This marks his seventh visit to the UAE since 2015 and the third within the last eight months.

Throughout the visit, PM Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders will explore avenues to intensify, broaden, and fortify the strategic partnership between their nations, exchanging perspectives on regional and global matters of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister will also participate as a Guest of Honour in the World Government Summit 2024 to be hosted in Dubai, delivering a distinctive keynote address.
