Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh killed in Tehran

Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated on Wednesday that Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniya was killed in an assault in Iran’s capital Tehran. In a press release to the Mehr information company, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated Ismail Haniya and one among his bodyguards had been killed in an assault concentrating on his residence in Tehran.

Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s Supreme Chief Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei held a gathering with Hamas chief Ismail Haniya. Khamenei shared images of his assembly with Haniya on social media platform X. In a put up on X, Khamenei’s workplace stated, ‘Imam Khamenei met Ismail Haniya, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic resistance motion Hamas, and Ziad al-Nakhlah, secretary normal of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad motion.
