In a recent proclamation on X (previously known as Twitter), Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed an optimistic discourse with Russian President Putin. The focus rested on the “Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership,” elucidating plans for forthcoming initiatives and dialogues concerning both regional and global quandaries, with specific emphasis on Russia’s stewardship during the BRICS Presidency.

 

“Engaged in a substantive dialogue with President Putin. Our discourse encompassed myriad positive advancements within our Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership, culminating in a consensus to chart out a comprehensive roadmap for subsequent initiatives. Furthermore, a meaningful interchange of perspectives unfolded concerning an array of regional and global predicaments, inclusive of the distinctive responsibilities associated with Russia’s incumbency in the BRICS,” articulated the Prime Minister via tweet.

The Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) issued an official declaration, affirming that the duo, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Putin, meticulously evaluated the strides made in bilateral collaboration. This comprehensive assessment spoke favorably of recent high-profile interactions, underscoring their unwavering commitment to sculpting a roadmap for prospective initiatives, thereby fortifying the Special & Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia.

 

The PMO statement elucidated, “The two leaders engaged in a nuanced discussion concerning regional and global matters that hold mutual significance. The Prime Minister extended his best wishes for Russia’s stewardship of BRICS in 2024 and assured unwavering support from India. Furthermore, both leaders concurred on the imperative of maintaining constant communication.”

 

In a parallel response, the Kremlin articulated that the leaders, in a bid to augment mutually advantageous bilateral relations, delved into deliberations encompassing “the situation in Ukraine,” as reported by Reuters.
